Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to Thy Word. Psalm 119:9

Welcome!

Introduction:

This website is primarily focused toward those who are committed commandment-keeping, Spirit of Prophecy believing Seventh-day Adventist Christians who are looking for the soon return of Christ. God's remnant are those who have a daily meaningful devotional experience, who are responsive to the Holy Spirit's prompting, and who are involved in reaching out to others, sharing gospel truth. God's people deeply desire to be surrendered, Spirit-filled saints, shining brightly for Jesus! God's love enshrined in our hearts will flow out to bless others.

Those whose hearts are yielded to the Holy Spirit, and who heed inspired counsel, are the most joyful people in the world! While they are bombarded with tribulation and temptations, they have discovered the key to victory-staying close to Jesus! In Christ they are invincible. Nothing can disturb their inner peace, or take away their joy. This is our quest, to be one with Christ, to fully reflect His character. By taking heed to the testimonies, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we experience the abundant life Jesus came to give us.

Those who resist and reject the testimonies, but claim to be Seventh-day Adventist find themselves in a miserable condition. When self is not subdued, the testimonies are a grievous burden. Rationalizing, doubting, justifying self brings in a state of double-mindedness. Those who are half the world's and half the Lord's are fighting a losing battle. God desires our whole heart.

Those who endeavor to uphold the standards without the indwelling Spirit are also miserable. They congratulate self in their efforts to obey and look down on others. But their obedience is not from the heart, and it is worse than worthless. Legalism is a deadly curse to those caught in its trap.

May the Lord deliver us from rebellion and legalism, and give us receptive hearts, willing to heed His testimonies in His strength, so we may experience the fullness of joy in loving obedience.

"In the Christian warfare, unless there is a sharp eye on the adversary and a sharp eye on ourselves, we shall be led into Satan’s snare. Our security depends on the state of our heart. God help us to take HEED to ourselves or we shall certainly lose heaven. Little departures from right, little indulgences, seem a trifling thing at present, but Satan will lead us on a track that will separate us from righteousness and from God. We want not our ways but God’s ways. We want to strive with all the powers of being to bruise Satan under our feet and be sure that we are right with God, that we have a clear title to our immortal inheritance." – TDG 27.

This Website offers a wonderful plan to help you to HEED God's divine counsel. Keep reading.

Jesus is coming soon! Probation is about to close!

Sister White receive this divine directive: "I am instructed to say to our churches, Study the Testimonies. They are written for our admonition and encouragement, upon whom the ends of the world are come. If God's people will not study these messages that are sent to them from time to time, they are guilty of rejecting light. Line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little, God is sending instruction to His people. HEED the instruction; follow the light. The Lord has a controversy with His people because in the past they have not heeded His instruction and followed His guidance. {3SM 358.2}

Again, we read, "God calls upon His people, who have the light before them in the Word and in the Testimonies, to read and consider, and to take HEED. {2SM 38.1}

Obviously, we must read before we can heed. If we neglect the testimonies, we are rejecting them. "It is not alone those who openly reject the Testimonies, or who cherish doubt concerning them, that are on dangerous ground. To disregard light is to reject it." {5T 680.2}

And to reject the light will mean the loss of our souls. "You cannot neglect God's messages of warning, and cannot reject them or treat them lightly, but at the peril of infinite loss." {TM 465.3}

With these solemn words before us, we must consider what God would have us do. Our busy, busy lives leave little time for reading the testimonies. How can we learn all that God would have us learn? Do we have time for this? Then we hear God pleading with us through His messenger: "I implore you to HEED the light which God has given, and reform." {4T 503.1} Just what are we to heed? How are we to reform?

The testimonies contain much counsel, presenting reforms that God would have us follow. We are told, "Greater reforms should be seen among the people who claim to be looking for the soon appearing of Christ." {CCh 230.7}

As we read the testimonies, we discover some important reforms God lays before His people. It is a spiritual revival that will enable us to practice the reforms. "A revival of true godliness among us is the greatest and most urgent of all our needs. To seek this should be our first work." {1SM 121.1} A genuine revival brings reformation.

"There is need of a revival of the Holy Spirit in every place. A reformation is needed." {13MR 409.4} {RH, July 15, 1902 par. 10} Without revival, reformation is useless. We need revival and reformation! Without reformation, revival is fleeting and meaningless. "There is need, not merely of a revival, but of a reformation." They are inseparably linked together.

"Revival signifies a renewal of spiritual life, a quickening of the powers of mind and heart, a resurrection from the spiritual death. Reformation signifies a reorganization, a change in ideas and theories, habits and practices. Reformation will not bring forth the good fruit of righteousness unless it is connected with the revival of the Spirit. Revival and reformation are to do their appointed work, and in doing this work they must blend."-- Review and Herald, Feb. 25, 1902. {ChS 42.2}

Can we expect God's blessings to be poured out in genuine revival if we are not willing to follow the reforms God has been calling us to uphold? No. It would, in fact, be dangerous to hold such a position, for that would open the door to a false revival. We can tell the false from the true by the willingness of the people to walk in all the light God has given:

"Wherever men neglect the testimony of the Bible, turning away from those plain, soul-testing truths which require self-denial and renunciation of the world, there we may be sure that God's blessing is not bestowed.-"GC 464 (1911).

In light of this, we need to go to the Testimonies and uncover the reforms God has there for us. God's true remnant will be preparing their hearts to hear and HEED the Straight Testimony, (the cutting truth that prunes all self and sin from our lives).

God longs for us to earnestly seek a spiritual revival and reformation. He is the one who will give us the strength and wisdom to heed His counsel.

Whoever is with singleness of purpose seeking to do God's will, earnestly heeding the light already given, will receive greater light; to that soul some star of heavenly radiance will be sent, to guide him into all truth. {GC88 312.1}
